And one of the best things about living west of Toronto is that some of the GTA's most popular apple orchards are right here in Halton Hills, Georgetown, Milton and Caledon.

Chudleigh's is one of the best-known apple-picking destinations west of Toronto and has become an annual tradition for many GTA families.

Located at 9528 Regional Road 25 in Halton Hills, the farm combines apple picking with play areas, farm animals, a nature trail, food and seasonal events. Admission is currently based on a day-specific ticket with a timed three-hour entry, and parking is free.

The orchard grows numerous apple varieties that ripen throughout the season, so what you can pick depends on when you visit.

And this isn't necessarily a quick "pick a bag and leave" orchard.

There is a restaurant, Silo Bar, Blossom Café and farm market, making Chudleigh's better suited to families who want to turn apple picking into a complete fall outing.

Best for: Families who want apple picking plus activities, food and the full fall-farm atmosphere.

Located at 13260 Fallbrook Trail in Georgetown, Fallbrook Farms offers pick-your-own apples, pears and pumpkins and emphasizes a traditional family-farm experience.

For 2026, the farm opened its season on August 27 and currently lists operating days as Thursday through Monday, including Labour Day, Thanksgiving and PA Days, with seasonal operations continuing into the fall subject to weather and crop availability.

This is exactly the type of place that makes living in Georgetown special: you can be surrounded by residential neighbourhoods and everyday amenities and still have genuine farm and countryside experiences minutes away.
